What happens to all those error messages that pop up and
get sent to microsoft when software aborts? I could use
some help to resolve some to the problems with these
terminations, but don't know where to start.

These messages get put into a database for (presumably) Microsoft to
extract information and knowledge for future updates and versions. It
is *NOT* a request for help from Microsoft.

Please post here fully symptoms of problems you experience and perhaps
folks here can help.

As mentioned the errors go into a database that help the Windows
programmers spot problem areas that need attention.

You can visit the Online Crash Analysis site and log in to view the status
of your errors.
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=http%3a%2f%2foca.microsoft.com%2 fwelcome.asp&FR=1

Or use Event Viewer in Administrative Tools. Find the error record and
double click on it. There will be a link in that error message. Follow it.
Sometimes there will be a "sorry, no further information" at the other end.
Other times, you'll see a brief synopsis of the error along with link for
related MS Knowledge Base articles.

That's as close as you will get to help on errors from OCA. For more
assistance, try the other support avenues: newsgroups, MS Knowledge Base,
MS tech support. Use the text of the error messages and description of the
error type as search guides.
