Hi,
First go to the BIOS and make the CD drive as the first
boot device. You may contact your computer manufacturer
for more details:
See here for Windows XP installation schematics:

>I have XP on order. It has been a number of years since
I did this sort of thing. My system is brand new,
components ordered from tigerdirect.com. I do not have an
A: drive. Is it as simple as inseritng the CD into the CD
drive and then just following the prompts? My concern is
that none of these components have ever worked together,
and I thought CD drives required drivers to work, but I
keep seeing the term "bootable CD" in these newsgroup
messages. So, do I need to get an A: drive and create the
6 bootable floppies using the microsoft link, or can I
just stick the CD in and follow the prompts?
