File\ntkrnimp.exe missing

I bought my emachine at Circust City,Ihave windows xp
loaded in my computer,they did not give me the program cd
so i down loaded the startup disk from microsoft, but when
i try to load it, it saids File\ntkrnimp.exe code 7 file
missing, my computer keep freezing up, thanks for any help

Those floppy have one purpose, to install XP on systems which are unable to
boot from the CD-ROM.

The vendor is responsible for either giving you an operating system CD or to
provide you with some means of recovery, you need to contact Circuit City if
that is what you are attempting.
