pls help. i have installed windows xp (OEM) home
edition, self installed so can't find where to get help!
The problem I am having is that the computer totally
hangs when I am trying to access certain folders on my D
Drive and periodically when I press the "back" button to
exit folders on my C Drive. The cursor shows an egg
timer in the active window and the system will not accept
any mouse commands or even keyboard commands such as
CTL+ALT+DEL, however it will go into screensaver. Any
Suggestions? Is it software or could it be driver or
hardware related? Config below:
self built; chassis asus 87n8x delux 2.00, amd athlon
xp2600+, Spire MicroFlowII Heatsink, 1gb ddr 400 Mhz, 1
Maxtor 20Gb HDD (C Drive) and 1 X Maxtor 120 Gb Hdd (D
Drive), 1 x Samsung DVD CD/RW and 1b X Samsung DVD CD
Rom, legacy floppy.
