My primary machine is a W2K Professional environment. I
use MS Backup for protecting my files. I then copy them
to a WXP Home Ed for further protection.

I have installed the WXP HE backup but it won't read the
file produced by W2K Pro.

Does anyone have a similar environment? How are you doing
backups or have you solved this problem?

Ken.

I don't believe XP Backup can read those files. However, there is a free
trial download available of a more robust version of this backup application
that can read those files:

If this is an ongoing issue, another words you have two machines, one
running Win2K and the other XP, ultimately, your only option would be to
purchase this product or some other backup that you can run on both systems
to ensure backup file compatibility.
