Windows xp/ microsoft office 98 compatibility

I have Windows xp on my computer but we are using office
98 at work. In my out look I am unable to set up my
internet mail. This is because the option to use internet
mail to recieve mail is missing. When I go to add the
option for internet mail it the program goes through the
motion of adding it but in the end it still is not an
option for me. Any ideas?

You must mean Office 97 with Outlook 98. Have you tried the Office Repair
option on the Help menu I believe or removing and Reinstalling Outlook?
