I just upgraded my system to Windows XP Professional from
2000 Professional. I'm having a problem installing a COM
port, however. When I install one using New Hardware,
there is an explanation point (!) next to it when I goto
device manager. It states that "Windows can not determine
settings for this device", code 34. I've looked the
resources and they seem correct, with the I/O being 03F8-
03FF and the IR being 4. Both my modem and the port are
set to use port 3. If anyone can help, thank you.
