I need to update my XP but on my modem it says it will
take 3 hours and 7 minutes. Every time I try to do it
I'm kicked offline before it intstalls. Is there a disk
I can get from Microsoft that has all these updates and
the Sevice Pack so I can get caught up offline and then
stay caught up online. Thanks.

Would probably be easier to go somewhere with a broadband connection and
burn the needed updates to a cd.

Go to Metacrawler's Metaspy after starting your download.
It will make your ISP think your still online and surfing the net.

you can choose which one to download and it will minimize down your times as
Mike state.
Any one way is you can set up your computer to do Automatic Updates, which
is in your Control Panel, System
Choose the check with automatic updates and the times it will dowload. Once
you online, it will automatic download for you, and if you go offline, it
will resume once you're online again.
This way it will get you update to date.
This option won't work(update) if you have not update any other critical
patches from the patches, it only update new patches.

There's a link towards the bottom of this page to order SP1a on CD:
