I have a word 97 document that I have e-mailed to myself
from another computer. When I try to open it on my home
computor which is windows xp I am unable to. How do I do
this?

Does your home computer installed with Word 97 or at least installed with
Word viewer?

Word 97 is part of Office 97 and is NOT part of operating system which is
Windows XP.

In order to open and edit Office documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Access), you will need to install Office suit.

To work with it you would need to get a copy of Word, which is part of
the Office suite or of the Works 2002/3 suite of applications: it is
*not* part of any version of windows. If it is enough just to view the
document, there is a free viewer at
