What does the following error message mean and how do I
fix it? It is preventing me from installing some
programs. I've already looked at the AUTOEXEC.NT file
and there is a line for DOSX. I've compared the path
with my other WinXP machine that is working properly and
they both match. I've noticed that this error message
also occurs when I run wowexec.exe.
The Win16 Subsystem was unable to enter Protected Mode,
DOSX.EXE must be in your AUTOEXEC.NT and present in your
PATH.
