If you right click on the email in the list of emails and
select, "create rule" then you can follow the instruction
and have email that matches THAT email deleted from the
sever. But you'll need to do this for every variation of
the email or edit your rule to cover. You might delete
something you want, so be careful.

Ask your ISP to filter this out may help you more.

You already have step-by-step instructions for setting up Rules in
"help" for Outlook Express. Read them.

I won't give you a step-by-step because such help is already available
within OE. However, I will suggest that you create a message rule that
deletes from the server any incoming email that does NOT include your real
email address in the TO or CC line. That rule will stop a LOT of spam.

The rules are really better suited to stopping spam than viruses, although
in the case of swen you have both going on. What I have done that works
quite well is create a rule that says if the message body contains the word
"Worm.Automat.AHB" then delete, or if the "from" line contains Microsoft
also delete.

Incidentally, gang, sorry about the empty reply. Hit the double-click on
"reply" by mistake.

Try out mailwasher its a lot easier than setting up rules in outlook

I won't address the rule question since others are addressing that issue;
however, the first thing to do in Outlook Express is: Tools/Options/Security
tab, checkmark "Do not allow attachments to be etc, etc". This will remove
the danger from many of these. I am getting so many that I would eventually
make a mistake if I tried to cope with them individually. That is probably
why the mass mailing.
Hang on,

Yes, it is and there is a free version of it, but it will only "wash" one
account. Pro version will do more than one. I use it and it is wonderful.

Personally, if I was in that condition I would be thankful if someone did
pull the plug. Are you sure, absolutely sure, that you are doing the right
thing? I wouldn't want you to speak for me.

>And I for one am grateful that Papa does not speak for
me. Until you have actually faced what these people are
having to live with you should keep your big mouth shut.
By the way, if you ever need to have your "plug pulled"
I'm sure there will be no shortage of volunteers that
will be only too pleased to grant you your wish.
