This is probably the most elementry thing one can do on a
windows based computer, yet people using PCs in a business
environment for many years do not know how to do. True
they may do it dozens of times a day, but if asked how,
would'nt know how to answer that simple question.
So, would someone please tell me how to " go to windows
explorer" or " navigate to windows explorer" or "open
windows explorer" ? Three terms that mean the same
thing, yet the computer dictionaries in which I have
looked can not define any of those terms. Since this
place is called "Basic",I'm asking a basic question. And
no, this is not a frivilous question. I really need to
know.

There are a number of ways to do this:

1. Press the Windows Key (holding it down), then press "E" key (which
represented "Explorer"). This is what I habitually do and is my favourite.

2. Double click on the desktop icon called "My Computer", or if not
there for whatever reason, then pick same from Start menu.

3. right mouse click on start menu and pick "explore"

4. Start/Run the program "explorer".

5. ...

6. ... (the list goes on).

>Thank you Rob.Your answer was exactly to the point and
even included several ways to accomplish the action.
If only others would give such simple and straight
foreward answers this would be a much more hospitable
environment.
