The problem is caused by 'auto complete' and clearing the
cookies won't make any difference. Go to control panel
and click the Internet Options icon. In the Internet
Properties Window click the Content tab. About three
qwuarters of the way down the window you will see a
button marked Auto Complete. Click this button. This will
open the auto complete settings. You will see an option
marked 'web addresses' Beside it is a box with a tick in
it. Click your mouse on the box to remove the tick. Now
click OK to exit the auto complete properties followed by
ok again to exit the internet properties
