Hey, Guys,

Thanks so much for the great advise. I got 512M of RAM.
But it seems only 256 is varified. Anyway, it helps a
lot. Good weekend.

Sounds as though you either have a bad memory stick or your system cannot
accommodate any more than 256MB of RAM.

Your system is old enough that it either won't accept 512 memory or it
doesn't recognize the chip density (i.e., one 512 Mb stick vs. two 256 Mb
sticks).
