Screen font changes to hieroglyphics

Does anyone know why after normal shut downs
occassionally windows will reboot with hieroglyphics
instead of normal screen font. The only way to recover
is using system restore

Something is failing, possibly your video card. Or possibly the computer
is overheating. Or your hard drive is dying. Time to do some hardware
diagnosis.
