I'm building a new PC and I have a 200 gig HD. Everytime
I try to install XP Pro it gives me an error
D:\I386/asms parameter incorrect

Can anybody help me figure this out?

Thanks in advance!

I don't know if this is the cause of your error message, but XP RTM
doesn't support hard drive partitions larger than 137 GB. XP SP1
supports 48 bit LBA and therefore can support one partition on a 200 GB
drive.

If you install XP RTM, divide your 200 GB into partitions of less than
137 GB. If you have a CD that is XP SP1, you should be able to create a
single partition. You should be able to take an XP RTM CD and SP1 and
create a slipstreamed CD. Instructions about on the Internet. Use Google
to find these.
