View Full Version : !APPLE LIES ABOUT G5! - NOT THE WORLD'S FASTEST COMPUTER

I'm sorry for the multi-post, but I feel that the many users, that can
easily be mis-informed, should know about this.
Apple is claming that the G5 is "the world's fastest, most powerful personal
computer." This is a bold face lie. If you read the white paper, you can
easily see how Apple rigged the test. Below, is a link to a site with a
'dumbed down' interpretation of the test.
http://www.haxial.com/spls-soapbox/apple-powermac-G5/
As well, on the site, there are many links to other credible news sites,
which say the same thing. In fact, even Apple addressed this article, but
opted out of answering the point.

As you can see, no one cares in this newsgroup. 2 hours and no replies. LOL
Plus Microsoft is not really in competition with Apple, as it is one of
their cash cows. Ever heard of Office for MAC? 8-) Apple has a very big
niche market with the entertainment industry.
Benchmark tests are always subjective and usually biased toward one system
or another. Marketing will set a spin on any advantage they can find and
corroborate with even one test case.
Please don't cross post to more than 3 relevant newsgroups at a time, and
please don't post troll posts to any newsgroups as this post would be
classified as a perfect example of a troll post.

Old news.
And just what does this have to do with Windows or Microsoft?

Because some Windows users may be tempted to switch to a Mac because of this
false claim.

They've always claimed that. And Intel has always claimed the opposite.

Well geez Mike, I *did* post it at late night in North/South America, only
people on the other side of the world would probably reply, and I don't
usually see to many of them here.
As you time of post says 4:01 AM, (I'm going to assume that you live in
North/South America) that means that you posted between 12-9 am your time.

No I am not, because, as I said before, I made this post because some
Windows users may be tempted to switch to a Mac because of this
false claim.
