View Full Version : auto complete trouble

When I start to type something that I have obviously typed
before I get a little box that has the whole text that I
am trying to type. The only way I can get this "whole
text" to enter is to use my mouse. If I hit "enter" then
all that shows up is what I have typed so far.
There has to be an easier way - what is it?

For example: if I am trying to type " and
I start typing "k" then a box with " shows
up, but in order to the whole thing to show up in the area
in which I'm typing I have to use my mouse. Isn't there a
faster, easier way?

thanks, K

What program are you wondering about? Auto-Complete will be similar from
one program to the next but it does not work the same in all of them.

And what precisely would you like to happen that would be easier? Before I
type an address I've used the mouse to either insert the cursor or highlight
the old address; so it's just a slight nudge of the mouse to select the one
I want.

In 'Search', the up/down keys will scroll through the options, them enter.
