Explorer error

[BJ]

I am currently having two problems with XP home. When I
boot up I only receive the Wall paper. I bring up the
task bar and switch to a task and then everything appears.

When I click on a icon such as Word, I recieve the
following error " is not a valid date, this is a explorer
error.

Can anyone help me.

Thank you very much, fixing the delphi error now allows
me to click on an icon. I am still having a problem when
I boot up. I only receive the wall paper. I do not even
see the start button. I checked in the desktop settings
and show on dekstop is clicked on. Any suggestions.
