I have viruses and I need to go into MS-DOS to delete
them. I need a Startup disc for win xp. So if someone
could help me with creating one that would be cool.
I went to Microsoft and was given directions on removing
the virus and the directions say to turn power off
insert "Windows Startup Disc", power on exct.

Thanks

See www.dougknox.com, Win XP Utilities, Startup Programs Tracker. This
small utility scans your system for startup programs and running processes.
It also allows you to create a log file that can be copied and pasted into a
newsgroup post. The contents of the program window are also copied to the
Windows Clipboard, automatically.

Use the results of the log file to locate the virus files in question, and
their associated registry entries. Then reboot the computer into Safe Mode
(this prevents programs, and the virus files from loading automatically).
Then you can delete the files, since they're not in use.
