I downloaded the wrong driver for my laptop and used the setup.exe to install a "smart link" modem. This was the wrong modem formy laptop. The "read me" says uninstall from the "add or remove programs", but it is not listed. I keep getting a message saying
new hardware found " Smart Link modem", and it wants me to install the driver. I have taken the modem out and uninstalled the driver through device manager, but it keeps comming back! It returns to device manager after a reboot. Can anyone please help me
