Want CD like floppy - how?

I'm using the Media addition. My hp 876x came with a DVD
burner but the software doesn't allow "Drive Name
Recognition" so that I can use a CD like I would a floppy
disk. Is there any way to do this? The software is
Record Now. Do I need other software - if so which?

Check the HP site for DLA it is packet writing software and free to HP users
