I have 1,024 MB DDR Ram on my windows xp home edition
desktop, if I right click MyComputer and go to properties
or view systeminfo it reads all the memory, but once I
click on start, turn off, and then click restart, when I
check my memory again, it is only reading one slot. So
basically, if I turn my computer off and then turn it on
again later it always reads all memory, but if I have to
do a restart, it only reads one slot. Why does it do
this? How can I fix this? Thanks in Advance!!

my guess would be that it's not Windows having the problem but your
system's BIOS.
