downloading file type question

Hi, I was wondering if someone could help me with this. I went to
download an audio file and I picked open with default application.
Notepad opened up. Now I just want to save the file to disk but it
always opened into notepad. How do I unassign the file type from
opening up in notepad? Thanks in advance.
