can someone tell me what this means

I get a wupdate error on this message on every boot

all resulted from attempts to remove spyware

Peg,

The spyware may be removed, but the orphaned entry is causing the =
problem:
Uncheck the entry from MSCONFIG. Click Start,Run and type MSCONFIG.
Goto Startup tab

To remove the spyware completely, download Ad-Aware from =
www.lavasoftusa.com and follow this:
1. Start Ad-Aware.=20
2. Click [Check for Updates] [Connect] and download the latest =
pattern file if available. and click Finish=20
3. Click [Start] [Next] (System will now detect the spyware)=20
4. After the scan is finished, click [Next]=20
5. Select all the items (checkboxes)=20
Right click on any object in the "Scan result" list and choose =
[Select all objects]
6. Click Next and click OK to confirm spyware removal.
