This might sound kind'a funny, but I need to re-activate
XP. Here's what happened... now do get any ideas guys...

I needed to setup 3 PCs for a client. They were all
identical in hardware specs. I loaded up everything, XP,
all the upgrades, office, etc. Then I go to activate xp
and it says its already activated. I know all about the
SYSPREP and the cloning but to be honest its too much
trouble. Using Symantec's Ghost I can setup 10 PCs per
hour and the MS solution won't do it for us.

Anybody have a solution to this? Can't I just run
MSOOBE.exe with a switch to re-act?

It is real simple, you buy three retail copies of the
software, and use the product key one time and deliver the
CD and product key to the client who will pay you for the
cost. If you have a volume license with MS, then you follow
those procedures.

You mean just Ghost it and give the CD to the client.
Maybe I should record the Key in case they lose it. I
wish there is a way to re-activate... maybe Ill call the
activation dept and see if there isnt a way. If I find
out, ill post it here.
