my son (who is 5) was messing with the pc and nothing
will open or work. Anytime you try to open something it
post an error "windows cannot find C:\, and the name of
the program. The cd rom does the same. The only thing
that works iexplore. Noe of the start up programs will
work either, anitvirus for example. Any ideas, PLEASE let
me know

1)Click on Start->Run and type "c:\windows\system32\restore\rstrui.exe"
without the quotes and then press Enter to open the System Restore Wizard
2)Use the wizard to Restore your computer to an earlier time

See www.dougknox.com, Win XP Fixes, File Association Fixes, EXE File
Association Fix. If shortcuts don't work either, see the LNK File
Association Fix entry as well.
