I recently upgraded to MSN 9. Doing so has now caused MSN
Messenger to quit sounding alerts when new e-mail is
received. Everything in the Sounds and Audio Devices
properties is as it should be. Appropriate boxes are
checked. I have tried to get help from MSN Help and
Support, but as usual they don't have a clue. Everything
worked fine in MSN 8.5. It seems to me that maybe there
is some conflict between MSN 9 and Messenger. If you
click on the play button In Sounds and Audio Devices
properties, the alerts sound. Help would be appreciated.
