Right-Click "My Computer" and select "Properties".
On the "General" Tab, it will indicate the version of Windows,
and the latest Service Pack (if any).

Click Start> Run and type in WINVER then click OK.
A screen will appear showing your version of XP. If SP1 has been installed,
it will be noted in this screen.

If you are using XP, the only Service Pack currently released is SP1. To see
if you have it, go to: Start/Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs/ scroll
down the list to find it. It is usually toward the bottom of the list.
Looking at all the Hotfixes on most you will see SP2 which they will be
included in when released.

John,
Or you could right-click the 'My Computer' desktop icon, then click
'properties', and it'll tell you on the 'general' tab.
