I have a 5 month old Dell with Windows XP Home. I have 5
User Accounts set up, one for each member of the family.

Turned it on the morning of the 21st and it boots up to
the blue Accounts window fine. When I click on the user
name to open that profile, the desktop background
appears, but the desktop icons and the Start bar flash
continually with no further boot progress.

Dell had me delete and re-install the video driver, and
reset the date to a known good configuration. No go. The
next step is an op system reload. I would like to avoid
this.

Any ideas on what this is about?

Thanks,

Michael
