Remove all backup files. Use the disk cleanup utility and
be sure to check all but the compress old files options.
Remove unnecessary components that you don't use. Often
you have speech and stuff installed for disabled users.
You can clear unwanted utilities in the add\remove
programs list and then select the add\remove windows
components. Make sure you are only using one browser. So
for instance if you are using IE6 then un-check the msn
browser. Remove all the Hot fix backups that are installed
when you add security patches. The list goes on. I
recommend you have an experienced user do a remote access
procedure and show you how to clean up your drive. Also a
10GB drive is hardly enough these days but if you are
using it as you say then maybe it's enough.
