View Full Version : Changing Opens With Setup

Recently the opens with preferences on my folder and hard
drive were changed, I don't know what glitch caused
this. However, the program no longer opens the folder
upon double click, and instead sends me to a search
prompt. I attempted to alter the 'opens with'
preferences under:: control panel->foder options->file
types->advanced for each of these file types.
For some reason, search was now the only listed option.
I added "open" as an option, and selected IEXPLORER as
the program to use, and switched this to the new
default. However, now it pops open a new window every
time I open a folder or hard drive. And to add to the
trouble, the changes I made are apparently irreversible.
The edit and remove buttons are greyed out under advanced
for any of the options once they've been added. PLEASE
HELP! :) THanks.
