I want to search "All files and folders" for "a word or
phrase in a file" and I get either an "Unexpected Error"
or "Cannot connect to web" message. An associate that
sits right next to me also has Windows XP Professional is
able to perform the search task with no problems. Is
there some way to fix this problem?

Hi Dan,
Log on to the computer by using an account with administrator permissions.
Click Start, click Run, type %systemroot%\inf, and then click OK.
Locate the Srchasst.inf file.
Right-click the Srchasst.inf file, and then click Install. This reinstalls
the files that Search Companion uses
Then, click Start | Run | and type "regsvr /i shell32"
