I am trying to put right a genuine mistake - otherwise I
wouldn't have gone into open forum. I am looking for
GENUINE help and suggestions, not useless smart arse
comments from some clever dick who thinks it's a good
idea to take the ****. If you've got something helpful to
say, great, otherwise, don't waste my time and keep quiet

You could perhaps migrate your settings before reformating and reinstalling
XP home, otherwise, upgrade to XP Pro.
