Folks ... bit oif a problem.

While on hol I got a few MBs of digital camera pics
transferred to CD to save up some space.

Problem is, the shop that did the trsnafer has saved the
pics to a read-only CD under a directory name of

Arequipa 23/09/03

so I can't get XP to open the directory (presumable
becxause of the forward slashes). Can't copy the file to
my PC either or rename it as it is on a read-only CD.

Any suggestions?

Try putting the folder name in quotes.
Example: "D:\Arequipa 23/09/03"

Call the camera shop and tell them how silly it is of them to use forward
slashes for folder names. Feel free to replace silly with the descriptor of
your choice. You may need to have them redo the CD....
