Running WinXP Home and it has been booting fine. Lately, when I turn it on
it comes to a blue screen and says "starting Windows XP" and that is where
it stays. I push the start button until it shuts down, turn the power off
for a few seconds, then repower and start again. Sometimes it will boot OK
but there have been times when I have to do it several times. Any ideas as
to what is causing this and how do I fix it?

Thanks in advance
Bill

This sounds like a hardware problem. See "Resources for
Troubleshooting Startup Problems in Windows XP"
