Running WinXP Home and it has been booting fine. Lately, when I turn it on
it comes to a blue screen and says "starting Windows XP" and that is where
it stays. I push the start button until it shuts down, turn the power off
for a few seconds, then repower and start again. Sometimes it will boot OK
but there have been times when I have to do it several times. Any ideas as
to what is causing this and how do I fix it?

Thanks in advance
Bill

Hi,

Boot the computer in safe mode and see if there are any
device conflict or corrupt programs that cause your
computer to hang. You will have to remove one program one
at at time and then reboot to identify which program is
causing the hanging.
