The technician who reinstalled Windows XP Pro misspelled
my name...and this is very important to me! I have
changed the profile BUT the Windows System file that is
incorrectly spelled says that it is a system file and
cannot be renamed. This is just not tolearble to me...do
I need to reinstall Windows XP or what in order to fix
this misspelled name. Thanks!

The incorrect file is called Jery. My correct name is
Geri. I cannot look at this computer all day every day
and have this misspelling. Please provide me with all
options to fix this.

If you mean your account folder, it's true you cannot rename it. However all
you need to do is create a new account with your name properly spelled, log
into it and if you have any personal files copy them from the old account
over to the new one. Now you can delete the old account and it will remove
that folder (along with any files, bookmarks and settings so again be sure
to copy them to the new account first). I think that should take care of it.
