Desktop icon positions

I save my desktop settings with File and Transfer Wizard.
When I bring them back the icons are all there, but they
are all arranged by name to the left. Is there any way
to save the exact positions so that I can back them up and
then restore them to the same positions.

Not unless you back up and restore your registry.
