On the start menu, I prefer to see "My Computer" as a menu. The only thing
is, I lose the r-click access to properties. Is there a way to add r-click
functionality to the "pop-out" menu in My Computer when displayed as a menu?

It has it. Have you changed your menushowdelay setting to 0 secs (using =
tweakui perhaps). If so r/c really, really fast and you'll jag it sooner =
or later. Have you turned off r/c for all of start. If so turn on Enable =
Drag n Drop in the options (where you set menu or link)
