Internet web pages with little boxes filled with an X
instead of an item or picture? Using XP Pro, new install
complete with windows and XP updates, but....... What am
I missing? I downloaded flash and shockwave what next?
Plus I keep getting "runtime" errors asking to debug.

Hi Margo,

Control Panel/Internet Options/Advanced tab, under the multimedia ensure the
option to show pictures is enabled.

Thanks for taking time to give me advise, but in my case
all boxes are checked in the media folder! Got any other
ideas? Your comments are appreciated. Margo

Hi Margo,

This can also happen when your Temporary Internet Files are full. Clear them
using control panel/internet options/general tab, click on "delete files".
Then reopen Internet Explorer and try the sites again.

Hi Margo,

You need to install support for Java.

For the Microsoft versions:
http://java-virtual-machine.net/download.html

For the Sun version:
http://java.sun.com/getjava/index.html
