View Full Version : HELP - Deleted Registry Key for Opening File Folders

In a fit of utter stupidity which will remain forever legendary in the
annals of my family, I managed to delete the following registry key and
all it's subkeys: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Shell\Open.

I'm running XP Home with SP1.

Of course, system restore is not on, neither do I have a backup of my
registry file that I assiduously made before mutilating the registry.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Any comments, disgusted
shaking of heads and hurling of invective humbly accepted.

TIA

You're most welcome but Doug did all of the work ;)
Glad to hear that your folders are fixed up and working again.
