programs running on taskbar

Can someone help me locate where I can shut down programs
running on my taskbar? I have too many and they are
slowing down my computer.

You can right click and close running program buttons on your taskbar, and
you can right click and delete quick launch shortcuts from your task bar, or
right click and disable some on your task bar.

msconfig will stop programs from starting up.

Also go on the net and look for startup cpl as this program is miles better
than msconfig.
