Having problems removing an icon from the notification
area. I have deleted the software from Windows XP using
the add/remove in control panel, however the symbol still
remains. I can't get rid of it. Anyone know how to delete
it ?

Hi Stuart,
You may download and apply the following edit to remove the past items from
the notification area:

Anando,
Thank you very much. Tried this and it worked. However
when I rebooted the icon came back. I have subsequently
found the software that I thought i'd deleted in the
program files. I tried to delete it from here and it
stated the following ;
Error deleting file or folder
Cannot delete at170 Access is denied
Make sure the disk is not full or write protected and
that the file is not currently in use
Would appreciate your ideas

Hi,
End process on the program, uncheck it from Start/Run/Msconfig/Startup then
try to delete it
again.
If no go:
Right click the Recycle Bin/Properties/Check: Do Not Move Files to the
Recycle Bin...
