the "My Windows XP Machine" screen

i found something a while ago that allowed me to customize this screen to say whatever i want. It involved clicking the Start button and going to Run... and then typing something in... then finding the thing to change in a list similar to Windows Explorer.
After doing this... a screen appeared after logging off a user and turning the computer on. The screen is black with a single window entitled "My Windows XP Machine" and the window contains whatever text i typed when i was directed to that list. If anyone
knows how to get back to that list (what to type in the Run program) and what to replace my text with so this extra screen doesn't appear, please let me know. Thanks

You are speaking of Start/Run/Gpedit. Make the changes here:

Go to Start/Run/gpedit.msc Local Computer Policy/Computer
Configuration/Windows Settings/Security Settings/Local Policies/Security
Options.

Scroll down to Interactive logon: Message text for users attempting to log
on and Interactive logon: Message title for users attempting to log on.

i don't speak computer, haha... if you read this again, please explain again as if i was a stupid child, hahaha. i typed in "Gpedit" in the Run box and it said it could not find it. then i typed in "Gpedit.msc" and it couldn't find it. but i do remember gp

IT worked for me as gpedit.msc ("MicroSoft Configuration"?).

Gpedit.msc is not available on XP Home.
