Internet drops out with MSN8

I've got a strange one. I installed an MSN dsl account and MSN8.If I am
using the internet regularly everything works fine. If I leave the machine
for a couple of hours I cannot log onto the internet. I have to reboot the
machine and then I can log on. I am using Zone Alarm basic as a firewall but
when that program is turned off the behavior is the same. The internet
didn't do that until I installed MSN8

I cannot findany settings in MSN8 that might cause this. Is there an answer?

In Device Manager, check the properties of any hardware used for your DSL
connection. If there is a power management page, uncheck the box that
allows standby (low power) for that device. If allowed to go into a low
power state, some of these devices don't resume gracefully.
