I would like to create a shortcut on my desktop so that
when i click it, my cd drive ejects, does anyone know how
to do this?

See the attached file. It's easy for a program to do (I just got an old program and changed 2 words). One day I write a program where the user can specify but VB doesn't do command line processing and it's hard to reinvent the wheel for no reason.
You'll need to acess the group correctly
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windowsxp.customize
You may also need to tell OE to let you open it on Tools - Options - Security - Prevent me opening attachments.

Thanks but i can't use OE to browse newsgroups because i'm
running from then office. We can only view via the web.

I can't, it's a program. Unless you have VB6 available.
