ok this is my problem i am trying to get to the index
first i click on start then help and support then when i
click on index on the menu bar it comes up blank so can
u help me

XP Search Doesn't Work

Answer: The search function might be unavailable because a required file has
been deleted or is damaged or corrupt. This might happen after you connect
to a web site. Initially, you should receive an error message that says a
file that is required to run search companion cannot be found. You may need
to run setup. Afterward, the option to search for files and folders is not
available. Ouch!

Luckily, Microsoft has a Hotfix for this problem, which is also included in
Service Pack 1. To download one of these and read more about the problem,
