Hi, hope someone can help me.

I noticed today that when I boot Xp Pro that my desktop, just the wallpaper,
is shown before the logon screen.
The sequence goes:

XP Logo, with the moving box
Goes to black
Goes to wallpaper
Goes to logon screen.

I have changed my wallpaper on my account, but the one shown before the
logon screen has stayed the same(ie the old wallpaper)

I can't work out
a) why it is showing
and
b) how to return it to the default setting.

Also, is it that Xp's just got mucked up or is there any virus/software
known to do this.
I'm pretty sure I have no virus's and I've tried uninstalling any software
that may have caused it.

I don't really want to install any 3rd party software to reset it.
If anyone can give me a link or even take the time to explain how to reset
it I would be most grateful.

TIA.

You've set a wallpaper that doesn't use Active Desktop
and one that does. Active Desktop replaces the default
desktop.

Easiest way I fixed this is select desired background and
click on apply button two times.
