>When I right click on the desktop I get the display
properties box-but no tabs for appearance, settings,
screen saver, etc. I have tried everthing I know of to
fix it to no avail. I think my video card is responsible
(see rest of message) I tried various registry fixes.
That still didn't do it. I am getting a grip on whats
wrong but still not there. I applied the fix from
Kelly "restorealldisplaytabs" and found that upon
checking the reegistry-part of fix didn't go in the
registry. Here is what didn't get copied to the registry.

>I also noticed that the individual fixes for the tabs
are a bit different but here is something interesting-
when I start the 'puter in safe mode-all the tabs are
there when you right click on properties. I am using a
Nvidea Geforce 2 MX 400 video card and that is giving me
lots of problems. It has a desk manager function that I
think is responsible for this problem. What I think is
happening is when the Nvidea card starts-it calls up the
file for the display properties without the tabs. How do
I fix this? The only way I can get the card to work is
by uninstalling the adapter and then letting windows find
and reinstall it. If I use the cd or the latest driver-
device manager says it can't load driver after
instalation. Obviously given the fact that it is fine in
safe mode tells me something is being loaded that changes
the file when you right click on the desktop; Or maybe
it just pulls up the display tab from the file. The file
is called desk.cpl and when you run it in regular mode-
you get the same problem I am having with no tabs-when
you run the file in safe mod-the tabs are all there. How
can I start windows and see everything that is loaded?
Or is there another way to deal with this?
